FAILURE—WHAT NEXT?

Complex dental rehabilitation demands sophisticated clinical judgment and multidisciplinary collaboration, yet failure remains an inherent risk. Failures manifest in five dimensions: mechanical, biological, functional, compromised aesthetic and patient dissatisfaction. Multiple factors contribute to these failures, including case selection, biological assessment, loading protocols, material incompatibilities, and poor patient compliance. Predictive risk stratification systems will reduce failure, but when failure happens what do we do now?
