HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT CERAMIC MATERIAL FOR MY PATIENT

Ceramics have been a cornerstone of prosthodontics for decades, but the number of available materials has grown rapidly in recent years. With terms like lithium disilicate, 3Y-, 4Y-, and 5Y-zirconia, hybrid ceramics, transformation toughening, and modulus of elasticity, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the terminology and material choices. Should we rely on established brands, or consider newer printed resins and emerging alternatives? Which ceramics can actually be bonded with resin cement?

In this evening seminar, you will gain practical insights into how and why to select the most appropriate ceramic material for each patient and clinical situation. The course breaks down complex terminology into clear, clinically relevant concepts and explores how material properties influence strength, aesthetics, bonding, and long-term success.

Designed to be informal and engaging, this session will help clinicians simplify material selection and make more predictable decisions in everyday restorative practice.
